Ningxia Red Testimonial and Lowered Insulin Levels

My daughter-in-law related a testimonial about Ningxia Red that was shared with her by her boss. I would like to thank both of these women for giving me permission to share this information. Maybe it will help someone else who may be experiencing a similar situation:

"My boss went to the Young Living store in Spanish Fork after work to buy her Mom some essential oils to help her sleep. She needed help calming down because her husband just had surgery that day and she was feeling frazzled. He was currently suffering from dementia and the doctors didn't know how much longer he would last. At the time he was 6 feet tall and weighed less than 130 lbs and didn't eat very much. I understand how my boss felt when she told me about her father. Her story brought back memories of my grandma who weighed about 85 lbs when she died from Alzheimer's a few years ago.

My boss then related to me that her father was on a very high dose of insulin and no matter what medications they tried, the doctors could not seem to keep his blood pressure or blood sugar to a healthy normal range. They tried stress medications, different insulin doses and many other things to help lower his levels, but nothing worked. Finally, she told her dad that he was going to be her guinea pig and she was going to try something different with him. She had him drink Ninxgia Red from Young Living every single day and within a couple weeks they were able to take him off most of the medications, except the insulin which dose was significantly lowered! He drank the Ningxia Red for several months. Unfortunately he did not keep up with it, but she is grateful for the extra time that drinking the Ningxia Red and experiencing lowered blood sugar levels may have gotten her family with their father."

May Brunch and Good Food!

Getting together with Young Living oilers is always a choice experience. We love eating and talking with each other. Here are some pictures from our latest brunch. Some oilers escaped the camera, drats!! Following the pictures are the recipes from our brunch. Enjoy!

Carrot Salad
Carrots are good for the eyes and when the core is cut it looks like the iris of an eye. Thieves oil is also supportive to good eye health. Just remember, never put essential oils directly into the eyes! Ouch!!

2 pkg grated carrots
1 cup raisins
1 tsp cinnamon - or more if you like it as much as I do!
1 drop Young Living Thieves essential oil blend
2 heaping tablespoons mayonnaise (I use Best Foods)
1 squirt liquid stevia
Stir, let sit for a few hours
Serves 10-12

Tomato Salad
Tomatoes are good for the heart. When sliced the inside of the tomato resembles the chambers of the heart. Rosemary supports good heart and blood function.

6 - 8 small to medium tomatoes diced
3 cucumbers, peeled and diced
1 diced red bell pepper
1/4 to 1/2 jicama peeled and diced
2 tablespoons dried parsley
sprinkle of garlic salt
3 - 4 toothpicks dipped into the Young Living Rosemary oil, then stirred into 3-4 tablespoons
extra virgin olive oil
Sprinkle the rosemary-olive oil over the salad, stir well.
Serves 10-12

Grapes
A bunch of grapes resemble the heart. Grapes are good for the heart.
Wash them well, then sprinkle with Young Living oils of Lemon and Orange.
Delicious!

Celery
Celery is good for bone support. Delicious with this easy to make peanut butter dip or non-dairy white sauce!

Peanut butter dip:
2 cups creamy natural peanut butter
2 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil
1/4 cup Young Living Yacon syrup
1 squirt liquid stevia
8-12 drops Young Living Orange oil
Stir and dip!

Or

Creamy white sauce:
Dip into this creamy white sauce, which is also good with rice, noodles,
or other fruits and vegetables:
1 cup Mayonnaise (I use Best Foods)
3/4 cup original unsweetened almond milk
2-4 tablespoons nutritional yeast
Garlic salt to taste
2 - 3 toothpick dips into Marjoram essential oil, also good for muscle and bone
Stir the marjoram into the dip. One drop is way too much! I dip a new toothpick through the
top of the bottle and then stir that into the mix. Use the amount that tastes good to you.
Whisk this together until thoroughly mixed. Cool then serve.

Sweet Potatoes
Cook 2 - 3 sweet potatoes, smashed
2 - 3 cups unsweetened pineapple tidbits
1 cup raisins
1 squirt stevia liquid
Young Living Coriander essential oil and lemon to taste. I used one drop Coriander, everyone seemed to like it. It was too strong for me. Coriander and sweet potatoes are good for pancreatic support.
Serves 10-12

Roman Chamomile and Bee Stings!

Wow, this story is worth reading:

I received a bee sting on my knee a few days ago, yep, we have winter bees here. After all, we do enjoy weather in the 70's here in Arizona during the winter.

Anyway, I hurried and put the Young Living blend Purification on the sting thinking that would help. Nope. Then I grabbed the Christmas Spirit blend, no help there. The book said cinnamon bark would help and that's the oil with cinnamon that I had close at hand. By this time my knee is getting very red, and extremely painful. Wow, it's been a while since I had a bee sting! The essential oil books first recommendations were Roman Chamomile. I didn't know if I had any. I searched and found some in my bathroom. I only had one drop left! The instant I put it on the bee sting, the pain left, the swelling went down and the redness disappeared! After that I used basil, and an ice pack for some tenderness around the sting. It was completely healed in 24 hours.

Cool huh?

Bee sting before the Roman Chamomile, ouch!
Redness and pain was gone shortly after applying Roman Chamomile oil

The Learning Continues!

Life is a continual stage of learning. I LOVE that! I love it when it's fun and easy and exciting. However, life's stage isn't always organized that way. In attending meetings and classes on wellness we can learn about handling the teaching experiences that often come our way, whether they are fun or difficult. I just ran across my notes from the last Young Living convention and realized I hadn't finished sharing some of the things that inspired me to be a better person. These are things that touched my intelligence and have helped me on my learning path. Maybe there is something here that can assist you in your stages of learning as well.

Concerning plants and essential oils:
1. Where does quality and purity begin? It begins with God, then man's management of the earth and His creations.
2. Embrace one new essential oil each month. Learn all you can about it, use it, enjoy it!

Concerning quality and purity:
1. The GC/MS method of testing is used to identify different substances within a test sample. It does not differentiate between organic or synthetic. You would need an Analytical Chemist and the right instruments to establish the difference between organic or synthetic essential oils.
2. How do you know you have the proper plant species? You need to work with the grower and ask "What is the seeds origin and how do you now it's not GMO?"
3. Aromatic plants cannot grow in acid soil! The pH of the soil must be 7 to 7.8 pH. for aromatic plants. Good oil = Good soil.
4. There is NO legal certification on essential oils yet.

Concerning Rosewood:
1. Gary is planting Rosewood on the new farm in Peru in 2014.

Concerning our Young Living farms:
1. We have 9 of our own farms and partnership with 14 other farms.

Concerning Indoor Pollutants:
1. There is one death every twenty seconds connected to indoor pollutants!
2. Every 14 seconds Poison Control gets a call from someone who has been accidentally poisoned.
3. The typical home has 63 hazardous chemicals.
4. There are 800 neuro-toxic chemicals in perfumes and lotions!
5. Baby bottles have  phthalate esters, which are esters of phthalic acid used mainly as plasticizers. Plasticizers are substances added to plastics to increase their flexibility. According to a CDC report in 2009 this is the #1 cause of asthma!
6. Air fresheners are full of formaldehyde.  Throw out all of your air-fresheners and hair sprays!
7. Recommended book "Vibrational Clearing."
8. Become Green Clean and Brain Smart, use the Thieves Cleaner!

Concerning Clint Walker:
1. "If I talked fearlessly, people listened."
2. "What is essential inside of us is essential in what we are doing."
3. "You have to figure out how to get to the essence - there is something essential in every gift God offers."
4. "EGO means we are Edging God Out. It keeps us from finding our essence".
5. "Live from that place of passion - my enthusiasm is my connection to God. I am now aligning myself to my purpose."

Cognitive Fitness

At the Young Living Convention just held this past June 2013, I went to a class taught by Marc Schreuder, Vice President of Research and Formulations for Young Living. There were some interesting comments that he  made I would like to share with you in this blog post. I hope something I share will help you on your wellness path.

1. As we age, we sleep less and less.

2. Don't take sleeping pills. They are as risky as cigarettes. According to the University of California at San Diego they take 4.8 years off your life.

3. There is a shortage in Rosewood oil. You can't get it anymore. Because of the shortage, governments won't export this essential oil.

4. Marc said to inhale your favorite essential oils, heat a mug, place a drop of essential oil in the warm mug, place your face over the opening and inhale. The essential oil will evaporate within five minutes.

5. Inflammation hurts the cognitive functions. Ningxia Red is one of the best foods to take to help the body heal.

6. Get off wheat and eat more greens!

7. Your calcium and magnesium need to be balanced. Take the MegaCal. It has a good balance.

8. A brisk walk after a meal is two times more effective!

Do yourself some good. Be happy, eat well,  breathe deeply, and enjoy nature!

Learning From the 2013 Young Living Convention

There were many things I learned at this past 2013 Young Living Convention. The information sure came quickly! Here are some things I learned:

Miscellaneous Tidbits:
1. Two Drops of lavender oil under the tongue five minutes before eating may support the stomach lining.
2. To assist nails that may have fungus, take two teaspoons alkalime with a little water, add 2 drops purification oil, then rub the nail with the mixture.
3. Valor has antihistamine properties
4. Life is based on structure, belief and behavior patterns. These behavior patterns are encoded in our DNA and in our memory.
5. Essential oils act like amino acids with an electrical charge.
6. Intensity produces a color frequency.

Darren Hardy, publisher of Success Magazine
1. To be successful takes hard work and is laborious, defeating, and not sexy!
2. There is no quick fix to success.
3. You cannot own success, you can only rent it. It is due every single day.
4. It's not what you know, it's what you do with what you know.
5. Success is not a result of heroic feats, grand acts of bravery, or quantum leaps. It's a result of small moment to moment, seemingly insignificant, choices. These add up to big differences!
6. Results are invisible, we don't always see the evidence of our choices. Be patient.
7. Our course isn't always a straight course, we need to make adjustments.
8. A poor choice is rewarded now, good choices take a while to see the rewards.
9. Jim Rohn once said that there are two pains, the pain of discipline or the pain or regret. The pain of discipline weights ounces. The pain of regret weighs tons.
10. Donald Trump once said that when in debt, do what you don't want to do!
11. Successful and non successful people hate to do what they have to do. The successful person does it anyway!
12. Give with NO expectations of return.
13. You are totally responsible for what you do, what you don't do, and responsible to what has been done to you. You are 100% responsible for the outcome!
14. It's not what you do, it's who you become.
15. If I want to have more you have to become more. Be the success person you desire to become.
16. Be the person you want to attract.
17. We become our habits.
18. Thomas Watson, President of IBM said that the key to success is massive failure!
19. Learn to love failure.
20. Michael Jordan said that he failed over and over in his life and that is why he also succeeded.
21. Do something every day that scares you!

To be continued.......

Meeting Gary Young

This past week my husband and I attended the Young Living International Grand Convention held in Salt Lake City Utah. It was a beautiful event filled with fun, music, entertainment and a brain full of information! During one of the workshops on the first day there while listening to Gary Young, the founder of Young Living Essential Oils, I had the impression to share my "Wall of Terror" story with him. I felt that he may like to know that the oils do work and his presentation last year in one of his workshops had a profound affect on me. My thoughts argued with me saying that Gary was far to busy to take time to listen to my story. I decided to turn it over to spirit and felt that if it was part of the divine will, Gary would be put in my path and the opportunity would present itself for me to share my story with him.

As the last workshop of the first day as convention was coming to a close, my husband and I sneaked out a little early to take a quick look at the Product Expo. When we entered the room guess who was standing there with his lovely wife? There stood Gary and Mary with only a few people standing by them. I whispered to Mary that I felt spirit had directed me here to tell Gary my testimonial about the oils. She made sure that I was able to share my story with Gary. When I finished he hugged and thanked me. Thank you spirit for that divine guidance and special experience. What a great way to start convention!

Some Tender Loving Care

Some days are just difficult. There are challenges at work, illness, and maybe a few family issues. What do you do when everything seems to be  going against you? Do you throw yourself on the floor and have a fit? Sometimes I feel like doing just that!

Here are a few suggestions to help lighten the load. These are things that I do when I am feeling down and out:

1. Call a friend. A listening ear can be a great help.
2. Eat a brownie, hehehe. I made brownies the other day and only ate two. No guilt, total enjoyment.
3. Watch a funny movie. I have a friend who was having a bad moment one day. I happened to stop by quite unexpectedly and found her crying. I told her to watch something funny to take her mind off things. When I called later to check on her she was watching Betty Boop Cartoons and feeling better! Way to go girl!!
4. Do something nice for someone else. This always helps lift my spirits.
5. If you can't leave what you are doing, take a few minutes to breathe. Quickly write down 10 things you are grateful for.
6. Grab an essential oil! Duh!! My granddaughter was having a difficult day a while back. What did she do? Well she just threw herself on the floor. It's what her sister did that was an act of love and kindness. Her big sister went for the oils, lifted up her sisters blouse and began administering love.

I hope you all have someone in your lives as caring as this big sister!

Blessings,

Laina

Baby Girl Tripped!

Recent Testimonial from my daughter-in-law and precious granddaughter. So precious, I could kiss her:

Baby girl tripped on the stairs and landed head first on the concrete just before we left to pick up sister from school. She has a big bruise and knot on her forehead, the scratch was accidentally self inflicted this morning.

The second we got to the school we got her unbuckled and oiled up. "Mommy can you put Lavender on it? Can I smell it first?" So I let her smell it and then she said "I have to make sure it's lavender." I guess you rely on your sense of smell when you can't read... She says she's feeling much better after her oils.
