Listen to Your Heart
Our days are full of choices. How do we know if we are making the correct ones? Most of them are unconscious, learned, out of habit. For example, I don't even think about my driving much any more. I turn when I know I should, click on the blinker at the correct times, look in my mirrors regularly, and go about my merry way with not much conscious thought about the choice I have while I drive. What I would like to talk about are our choices that we consciously make that may influence ourselves as well as others in either a positive or negative way. How can we make those choices correctly?
I have discovered that when I make a conscious effort to think before I speak, choosing my words more carefully, I feel a certain way in my heart. The question to ask when making choices is "how will this effect me and those around me?" As Deepak Chopra states in "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" "Your body experiences two kinds of sensations: one is a sensation of comfort, the other is a sensation of discomfort. At the moment you consciously make a choice, pay attention to your body and ask your body, "If I make this choice, what happens?" If your body sends a message of comfort, that's the right choice. If your body sends a message of discomfort, then it's not the appropriate choice." He goes on to state that most of us feel this sensation in the area of our heart. Pay attention to this amazing organ. The heart can tap into the "cosmic computer". It can be our best guide in choosing wisely. May we all take more time to listen to our heart.

Privacy and Choices
It is interesting to me that people are so focused on stealing to receive! I recently had someone steal my email address list, who knows how, so they could send Viagra adds! Who would buy from an add like that anyway. Crazy! Sadness. What kind of choice is that!
OK, on with my blog.
I have often heard that the things that are happening to us at this moment are a result of the choices and thoughts we have had in the past. I have learned that most of our choices are made unconsciously. So many of our actions and reactions are learned, often as a result of conditioning. Deepak Chopra tells us in his "Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" to start making conscious choices. He says "When you make any choice - at all - you can ask yourself two things: First of all, "What are the consequences of this choice that I'm making?" In your heart you will immediately know what these are. Secondly, "Will this choice that I'm making now bring happiness to me and to those around me?" If the answer is yes, then go ahead with that choice. If the answer is no, if that choice brings distress either to you or to those around you, then don't make that choice. It's as simple at that."
Wow. That is a good habit to develop. I think that if we all did that we would be allowed to let others be "just as they are" because there would be only kindness in our conscious choices and actions.

The Mind and Dirty Toe Nails
I just read a quote by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer "Our suffering is caused by the mind--by a mind that insists on having preferences and will not allow others to be just as they are." Wow, how would I go about letting someone be just as they are? I don't even concern myself with most people. It doesn't bother me if they choose to have long hair, short hair, a messy house, a clean house, loud laughter, strong opinions, love chocolate, hate chocolate, or whatever. BUT, if they are my special someone, why would that change? Is it because we live in the same space and are in constant contact with each other? Would this explain why, when they cut their toe nails on the front porch and leave the mess, I feel annoyed? Looking at the sliver of dirty crusty toe nails left behind when I sit outside to enjoy the view makes it difficult for me to allow my special someone to be "just as they are". Don't you think that my someone should be considerate of my preferences? How would you deal with that? What would you do? Why do these type of things bother me so much? Have you ever thought about it?
I have decided that marriage is truly a complex thing. How do we define marriage? Webster says it is "any close union". Yep, "close" it is. Having children in this "close" union, can make it even more interesting. We all have our own minds and thus, our own preferences. In allowing others in this "close union" to be just as they are, how would we expect to have any sense of order and peace at all? No, I think this quote of Dr. Dyer's is too broad. I think it should read "Our suffering is caused by the mind of others needing to have things their way while not considering the happiness and comfort of others."
I guess I need to stop being so picky. I remember when my children were little they would leave their toys, shoes, socks, and sticky fingerprints all over the house. It use to bug me until I chose to look at what I considered to be "mess" in a different light. I started looking at their things as little parts of their personalities and it started bringing me joy. There were my son's match box cars. When I looked at those cars strewn all over the front room floor, I imagined him roaring about the house like he was a famous NASCAR driver. Seeing my girl's dress up outfits and shiny glittery shoes in a heap by the sofa, I would see them pretending to be beautiful princesses from a far away land. This would bring a definite sparkle to my eyes. Looking at my husband's dirty hankies as he, well, no, I won't go there on that one. That grossed me out. I don't miss that, but I do miss the toys and sticky fingerprints.
Some annoyances are manageable, others are not. I think that it is a good thing to serve each other but not so good to be a door mat. I think that we should all be striving to better ourselves and not always stay the way we are. What is our way anyway? I know there are many things I can improve on and appreciate the kind suggestions of my loved ones. I agree with Dr. Dyer that "Our suffering is caused by the mind..." but having good honorable preferences like kindness, love, consideration, patience, honesty, dependability and respect are areas that maybe we should insist on.
What's your opinion? I would really like to know. Oh, by the way, my husband clips his toe nails in the back yard now. Far from my view. Thank you dear. I love you!

Big Dream
My little darling! Isn't she perfect and complete, full of awe and beauty. I have been reading the book "The Dream Giver" by Bruce Wilkinson. In reading his book, I am realizing how easy it is to stay in our comfort zones that we create for ourselves, and not venture out to fulfill our dreams. The dreams we had as a child when we were like my little darling above, or the "Big Dream" that God has for us may be still waiting for us to fulfill. He says in the book on page 120 "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But, let patience have it's perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete."
May we all be patient as we endure our trials finding ways of serving and loving each other. Reach out with an embrace of love those who may be struggling in their own "wasteland" of pain and loss. May we choose to be warriors of service and love!

Prosper by sharing
In Deepak Chopra's book "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" he mentions that the Law of Giving is very simple. To receive joy, give joy. To receive kindness, give kindness. To receive money, give money. Plant the seeds you desire, nurture them and the things you desire will grow.
I have never gone without things I felt I needed. Paying a ten percent tithe has always been an important part of my life, whether it was in money, time, or giving of my excess. I remember when one of my daughters came to me upset and lonely one day. I listened to her tell me of her woes. Rather than make her feel worse by agreeing with her and adding to her sorrow, I suggested she do something kind for someone else. She listened and then went home and did some massive baking! She chose to help herself feel better by baking treats and giving them to others. She is a great example to me of one who gives and has abundance because of her giving. By baking and sharing her mood lifted and she was filled with joy.
Deepak Chopra says "Even the thought of giving, the thought of blessing, or a simple prayer has the power to effect others." May your day be filled with acts of love and may you feel joy!

Oils of the Bible Class Review
Hello and Good Morning!
Saturday we had an awesome class where I taught about the Oils of the Bible of the Bible starting with the "Oils of Gladness", using the oil of Joy. I appreciate the class participation. We learned that in Proverbs 27:9 it says: “Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart,” where in Biblical times, ointments and perfumes were either aromatic oils extracted from plants or compounded from them. According to “Healing Oils of the Bible” by Dr. Stewart, only essential oils have mood altering properties. Vegetable oils do not. The anointing oils of the bible always contained aromatic essential oils.
After enjoying the scents of the Twelve Oils of Ancient Scripture, we enjoyed a luncheon together and we each did a full body scan with the Zyto Compass administered by one of my awesome distrubutors, Debbie! As requested, here is my recipe for the taco soup:
Taco soup recipe:
3 lbs ground turkey Or 2 lbs round turkey and 1 lb turkey sausage
Sauté in pan with olive oil, garlic and a touch of salt
Put in crock pot and add the following:
2 pkgs Taco Bell taco seasoning, original
1 med. can petite diced tomatoes
1 or 2 cans medium olives, drained
2 or 3 cups chopped celery
2 chopped onions
Stir all ingredients together and cook on low for about 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
Serves: 8 to 12 depending on serving size.
This recipe was inspired by my daughter Shalane! Thanks Shalane!

Giving away...
When my children were little my husband and I were students going to college. We had four bouncing babies in 5 years. It kept us busy. Needless to say we were living on a tight budget. Being a mom was my dream so I didn't mind at all. I loved staying home with my babes, playing hide and seek, cooking, cleaning, nursing them, and all that comes with being a mom. I was not perfect by any means. Lack of sleep brought the monster out in me! But, I loved the calling of motherhood!
I discovered a natural law of the universe early in my mothering years. I noticed patterns developing when I donated clothing that my children had outgrown. Within a week or so after making a clothing donation to a local charity, someone would contact me with an offer of clothes from their children. The clothes were always the correct sizes for my children, and most often nicer than the ones I had donated. I am grateful for the lessons I learned by choosing to live on a budget, following our dreams and sharing our abundance. This law of giving is a universal law. We will be blessed when we choose to give to others, whether by donating material goods, time, or our love. Share what you have. Multiply and replenish the world by sharing your knowledge and talents.
May your lives be blessed with unlimited abunance in all areas!

Love of Friends and Family
I have a dear friend who was there for me during a very difficult time in my life. I will forever be grateful for her kindness, love and understanding. She nick named me "Lady Bug". She calls a lot of her friends that but I really like hearing her say that to me.
My life didn't really turn out the way I planned. I have had some struggles that have shaken me to my core, made some stupid choices, and beat myself up over things that I really had no control over. Through it all there have been a few things that have given me strength. One, is my love for and belief in my Savior. Another is my children. They have always loved me and have brought me so much joy! Then there are my special friends who show up just when I need them. And of course, my oils.
Today I wish to thank all of you who love me, bring me joy, and have always been there for me. Thank you for your service and love. Thank you for being my friend.

Wise Guys!
I think my husband is a witty person. This morning we were talking about our life and experiences. He said he always calls the 3 Wise Men, "Wise Guys". Haha, he makes me laugh. But, 'tis true, they were very wise. They brought the Christ child "Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh". Myrrh is a fixer oil and was found in many ointments mentioned in the Bible. To me the smell is earthy, not sweet. I like mixing it with my Geranium oil, helps the scent last longer. In the book "Healing Oils of the Bible" by Dr. David Stewart, he mentions how the women of ancient scripture used Myrrh to help fade stretch marks. So, the gift of Myrrh was not only for the Christ child but also for his mother Mary. Anyway, my husband said "Wisdom comes from experience. Experience comes from lack of wisdom". Good thought. Thanks honey!

Remembering my childhood
I remember when I was younger. I loved to clean and organize! I always wished there was a cleaner, and perfume for that matter, that smelled like freshly peeled oranges, yummm. Now my dream has come true! I joined Young Living Essential Oils over ten years ago and was so excited to fine they have an therapeutic essential oil "orange". I put it in my olive oils and dust with it. It goes in my dishwasher and laundry rinse water, smells fresh and clean! I cook with it, and put it in my protein drinks.
Below is one of my recipes where I use this delicious oil:
4-6 cups raw sunflower seeds
1/2 cube butter melted
dash of sea salt
1/2 cup raw sugar or eurythritol
sprinkle of cinnamon, clove, and maybe some nutmeg
mix well in big bowl, pour into large cake pan (I use a large glass one)
bake at 250 or lower, stirring about every 10 minutes
cook until seeds start to brown
remove from oven and let cool
When cool add 10 to 15 drops Orange oil and stir
Yummy! And good for you too :D

OILS, ahh, how they help!
Have you ever had one of those times when you feel frustrated and unsure? Well, I am going through that right now. What can you do to get clarity? I oil. I sit on the floor, my oils in a basket in front of me, and I start to stretch while I smell the oils. I ask for clarity and calm myself by smelling the wonderful scents of my oils, and I listen. When I am feeling the release in my chest I rest and listen. What I hear I write down. I have found that all the answers are there. We just need to take time to listen.

Springtime in Arizona
I really enjoy living here in Arizona. There is nothing like waking up to the birds chirping, a cool breeze and my husband making breakfast for me! I read a good quote today by Marie Curie "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood." Well, I need to remember that.
