Update: Compensation Plan and Policies & Procedures

Information from Young Living:
Earlier this year Young Living announced several modifications to the compensation plan and policies and procedures that were to be implemented on January 1, 2012. Since then, our distributors have provided a great deal of valuable feedback regarding these updates.
We want you to know that we have heard you, and we appreciate the time that you have taken to communicate your opinions to us. It is important that we continue to cultivate relationships of trust and openness for the best interest of all concerned.
Gary and Mary and the Executive Team have been analyzing and discussing the compensation plan and feel that more time is needed to determine how these changes would affect all of the regions worldwide. For this reason, the proposed changes are currently on hold until we are satisfied with the direction that we feel is best for all Young Living markets and distributors. Nevertheless, current policies and procedures will be enforced as usual.
Accordingly, we may make improvements and modifications to the compensation plan and policies and procedures in the future to ensure they are mutually beneficial. Rest assured that any future updates will be communicated to you well in advance before their implementation. Stay tuned for more information!

Holiday Wishes

It's holiday time for most of us and I would like to wish all of you the very best holiday ever, for whatever  holiday you are celebrating. I think each day should be a celebration. Every morning I go through a list of things I choose to do during my day, things to add to the celebration of my life.

I choose to greet each day with love in my heart

I choose to be kind and have gratitude

I choose to see the beauty that is all around

I choose to be creative

I choose to expand in my awareness

I choose to listen to that inner voice that guides and directs

I choose to enjoy unlimited abundance

And recently I added "I choose to greet each day with enthusiasm! Wow! When you say this, you feel an amazing surge of energy! Try it, you'll like it.

May your expanding in awareness include all things beautiful, kind, creative, inspired, loving, grateful and ENTHUSIASTIC!

 Happy Holidays to you,
and a special thanks to all the people out
there in cyber world for your amazing pictures,
some of which I used in this blog post! We ARE surrounded
by beauty and creativity!
Blessings,
Laina

Oh What Fun!

Our school music Winter Program went well! It was fun and those children bring joy to everyone's hearts. If you need help being in present moment, be around little children. They are totally there and will pull you in with them. Thank you little ones for making life so great!

This is a picture of me and my granddaughter before the performance
Happy smiling faces!

And this is a picture of me and my dear friend, distributor, and boss.
Still smiling at the end of the performance! That's a good thing!!

This beautiful lady has diffusers in every classroom so the students
can enjoy the wonderful benefits of the Young Living therapeutic grade oils.
Bless you dear friend!

Performance Tonight!

I teach music at a local Montessori school in town. Tonight is our Winter performance. The children are absolutely adorable and I am excited to watch their performance. However, I do, on occasion, get butterflies before moments like these. What do I do to calm my nerves?

First: I have the essential oil blend Peace and Calming in my purse and take it everywhere I go. I have been feeling the anxiety about this performance for about a week now. Every time I feel it coming on, I wear a little Peace and Calming and I'm good to go for a while.

Second: I have been bathing in the blend Sacred Mountain. I sense a feeling of protection and I LOVE the scent. It contains Ylang Ylang, another one of my favorites. To watch a video about Ylang Ylang, click on the word Ylang Ylang and learn about how Young Living harvests this beautiful flower!

Third: I ALWAYS take my Super B supplement. This helps with my energy level. Because of the holidays, other performances, gift wrapping, parties, fun and festivities, I have been staying up late and getting up early to achieve all of my "To Do's" for the  month. The Super B supplement is a life saver for me!

Fourth: I have doubled up on my vitamin C intake, AND I increase my dosage of Mineral Essence. I also supplement with the Inner Defense as a support to my immune system.

Fifth: I do everything I can to stay focused and in the moment. It's not easy to do this when my mind is racing, remembering all the "things" that need to get done. How do I do the "present moment" thing? While driving, a time when my mind really wanders, I pay close attention to the trees and fall leaves, the Christmas decor on the buildings, the sky and clouds, or whatever I can notice to get my mind off the upcoming events. I also enjoy making a mental list of all the things I am grateful for.

When trying to go to sleep, often difficult during busy times, before bed I take some MegaCal and warm milk. Once in bed I focus on the feel of the blankets, my pillow under my head, the quiet sounds in the house, and my breathing. I also wear an essential oil and pay attention to the scent and how it makes me feel. By my bedside I have a pretty basket with four our five of my favorite oils. There are Frankincense, EndoFlex, Geranium, Progessence Plus (I love this one so much I wish I could eat it!), Thieves, and sometimes Ylang Ylang. Ahhhh, I sigh a deep relief, give thanks for my day and eventually fall softly and peacefully asleep.

OUCH!

My daughter sent this picture to me yesterday. Somehow my grandson face planted on the ground causing a big FAT lip. OUCH! She said there was blood everywhere. He was in so much pain that he couldn't close his mouth. This little incident happened in the parking lot outside her apartment, so as soon as they got inside and cleaned him up, she mixed a little therapeutic grade lavender oil with some extra virgin olive oil and started applying it to his wounds. She put the oil mixture on the outside of his face on the sores as well as inside his mouth. Within just a few seconds, he was able to shut his mouth and began playing. These oils are truly amazing and we are all very grateful, especially my grandson!

Sending Gratitude to Water

I LOVE soaking in a bathtub full of water! I find that nothing relaxes me more, and soothes my muscles, brings peace to my soul, and helps me be in present moment. Dr. Masaru Emoto says "We must pay respect to water, and feel love and gratitude, and receive vibrations with a positive attitude. Then, water changes, and you change, and I change. Because both you and I are water." "When we send gratitude to water, it's quality improves." That is a powerful statement! No wonder I love soaking in a tub of water!

Before my bath I always add some of my therapeutic essential oils from Young Living. My oil of choice for this week is Sacred Mountain. I have also been using Magnify Your Purpose. I have used Abundance and Patchouli, however, they are dark amber in color, and if you have a plastic tub like I do, they stain. So be careful. I love to mix my oils with baking soda, or a natural bubble bath liquid soap. I have tried many of the oils in my bath water, and I love them all. The citrus oils make me itch a little so I usually don't use those. Every one is different, so see which ones you like the best.

Here is your recipe for a good bath:
fill the tub with water
add some bubbles or baking soda
add some oils
add gratitude

Enjoy!

Your Better Future by Jim Rohn

As we approach the end of this year and see the beginning of a new year ahead, I thought this inspirational message from Jim Rohn was appropriate:

The Major Key to Your Better Future Is YOU
by Jim Rohn

Of all the things that can have an effect on your future, I believe personal growth is the greatest. We can talk about sales growth, profit growth, asset growth, but all of this probably will not happen without personal growth. It’s really the open door to it all. In fact I’d like to have you memorize a most important phrase. Here it is, “The major key to your better future is YOU.”
Let me repeat that. “The major key to your better future is YOU.” Put that someplace you can see it every day, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, at the office, anywhere where you can see it every day. The major key to your better future is YOU. Try to remember that every day you live and think about it. The major key is YOU.
Now, there are many things that will help your better future. If you belong to a strong, dynamic, progressive company, that would help. If the company has good products and services you are proud of, that would certainly help. If there were good sales aids, that would help, good training would certainly help. If there is strong leadership, that will certainly help. All of these things will help, and of course, if it doesn’t storm, that will help. If your car doesn’t break down, that will help. If the kids don’t get sick, that will help. If the neighbors stay halfway civil, that will help. If your relatives don’t bug you, that will help. If it isn’t too cold, if it isn’t too hot, all those things will help your better future. And if prices don’t go much higher and if taxes don’t get much heavier, that will help. And if the economy stays stable, those things will all help. We could go on and on with the list; but remember this, the list of things that I’ve just covered and many more—all put together—play a minor role in your better future.
The major key to your better future is you. Lock your mind onto that. This is a super-important point to remember. The major key is you. A friend of mine has always answered when asked, “How do you develop an above-average income?” by saying, “Simple. Become an above-average person. Work on you.” My friend says, “Develop an above-average handshake.” He says, “A lot of people want to be successful, and they don’t even work on their handshake. As easy as that would be to start, they let it slide. They don’t understand.” My friend says, “Develop an above-average smile. Develop an above-average excitement. Develop an above-average dedication. Develop an above-average interest in other people.” He says, “To have more, become more.” Remember; work harder on yourself than you do on your job. For a long time in my life, I didn’t have this figured out.
Strangely enough, with two different people in the same company, one may earn an extra $100 a month, and the other may earn a $1,000. What could possibly be the difference? If the products were the same, if the training was the same, if they both had the same literature, the same tools. If they both had the same teacher, the same compensation plan, if they both attended the same meetings, why would one person earn the $100 per month and the other person earn the $1000?
Remember, here is the difference: The difference is personal—inside, not outside, inside.
You see the real difference is inside you. In fact, the difference IS you. Someone once said, “The magic is not in the products. The magic is not in the literature. The magic is not in the film. There isn’t a magic meeting, but the magic that makes things better is inside you.” And personal growth makes this magic work for you.
The magic is in believing. The magic is in daring. The magic is in trying. The real magic is in persevering. The magic is in accepting. It’s in working. The magic is in thinking. There is magic in a handshake. There is magic in a smile. There is magic in excitement and determination. There is real magic in compassion and caring and sharing. There is unusual magic in strong feeling. You see, all that comes from inside, not outside. So the difference is inside you. The real difference is you. You are the major key to your better future. — Jim Rohn

20 Steps to a Beautiful Day by Shauna

I recently received this from my upline and enroller in Young Living, Shauna Dastrup. I thought you would enjoy it too. Thank you Shauna!

“20 Steps To A Beautiful Day”
By Shauna (Part of My Daily Routine)

1.  Brush teeth with Thieves Dentarome Ultra Toothpaste.
2. Rinse and gargle with Thieves Fresh Essence Plus Mouthwash.
3. Shower using: Orange Blossom Facial Wash to cleanse face by applying to face and using a white wash cloth; scrub (not hard) the facial area, concentrating around the nose to clear oil buildup, etc.
4. Wash and condition hair with the Copaiba Vanilla Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner.
(My personal choice.) (Doesn’t take much because they are both so concentrated.)
5. Overall wash with the Morning Start Bath and Shower Gel: (I like to use a natural Faux Sea Sponge as it delivers an energizing massage and helps with circulation as it cleans.)
The Faux Sponge works great with all the YL’s bath and shower gels.
6. Oh yes, I DO NOT use shaving cream! I use the suds from the Morning Start Shower gel.
*Not only does it work better, I don’t have to worry about the chemicals in the shaving cream.
Neither Richard nor I have used shaving cream for 15+ years. Richard liked to use the Thieves Foaming Hand Soap for his shaving cream. Our son loves the Orange Blossom Facial Wash as his shaving cream....Makes the skin feel so soft and pampered.
7. Finish shower, washing face with Art Gentle Foaming Cleanser. This helps wash off any other residue from shower and gives your face a soft, clean feeling. Step from shower and towel dry.
8. After drying my face, I apply the ART Purifying Toner and let it dry. (Apply with cotton ball or cotton pad)
9. While face drying, I put on my Young Living’s AromaGuard Mountain Mint Deodorant. Plus…….
my secret weapon.....I  apply a small amount of the Thieves Dentarome Toothpaste over the deodorant. (Just put a pearl drop on fingers, rub together and apply to underarms) Great combination!
10.  To balance me for the day, I now apply YL’s Valor Blend to my feet, back, and brain stem and inhale.
11. Then for the pampering: I put several drops of Frankincense on my fingers, rub them together and apply to my face. *Using upward and outward strokes on the face…going from nose to ear (each side) and from eyebrows up to and out to side of hairline and chin out and up towards ears.
Gently pushing the skin up and out, this helps with the crow’s feet around my eyes and side of nose, as well as the mouth wrinkles. DON’T forget the neck! Rub from chin down along the neck and then from center of neck around to back of head…on both sides.
12. Next, put several drops of Myrrh on fingers and rub together and apply same as the Frankincense.
13. Last oil for face, put several drops of Sandalwood on fingers and rub together
and apply same as the Frankincense and Myrrh.
*While these precious oils are being absorbed into my facial skin, I dry my hair.
14. Then I apply the ART Day Activator, applying in same manner as the Essential Oils.
(If you have problems getting the Art Day Activator out, just tap the bottle (bottom) on the counter couple of time and it will usually work after that)
15. I then apply Wolfberry Eye Cream around my whole eye area (including lids)
16. Next I apply my Boswellia Wrinkle Cream to face and neck…not the eyes.
(Following same procedure as when I applied the Essential Oils)
17. And finally…I apply my Sandalwood Moisture Cream to face and neck..not the eyes.
(Following same procedure as when I applied the Essential Oils)
(Because these products are so concentrated you only need a pearl size drop.
*Also, put the drop on fingers of one hand and rub with fingers of other hand together,
emulsifying it before applying to the face.)
18. Next, I apply my Progessence Plus Serum to my stomach and neck.
19. Now it is time for rest of body to receive pampering.
*I have an area in my closet with my oils on a table and a stool where I can apply YL’s Essential Oils on the rest of me. FEET FIRST, working up my legs, knees, hips, back, arms, breasts, stomach, shoulders and neck, cup hands and inhale. (I use both Frankincense Boswellia carteri and Sacred Frankincense during this time. Frankincense (over breasts)….preventative!!!)
*Then I will apply oils of choice anywhere I might be having a particular issue…
i.e.: back of upper left leg as a result of a fall in April.
*I use…..oh around…..15 to 20 different oils during this meditation time, “MY TIME”.
*All oils are put on neat and layered…one right after another. Concentrating on the oil and the need.
(Perhaps another time I will go into the oils I choose for this routine)
20. I lastly apply Lavender Hand and Body Lotion  to seal the oils and to soften the skin.
(Very concentrated a little bit goes a long way.)

If I am in a hurry and forget one of the steps, I feel its loss all day long.
These steps may seem time consuming and long, but truly it only takes minutes.
Meditation time or “MY TIME” takes a little longer, depending on how much time I choose
to give thanks, ponder and think as I’m applying my beautiful essential oils.
*Note: Men…..this works for you too….not just for the women!
